How to Study Science More Effectively
1. Understand Before Memorising
Try to understand the meaning behind a scientific principle before memorising its definition or formula. Ask yourself why a process happens and how it works.
2. Practise Questions Regularly
Solve questions after studying each topic. In Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, write down each step of your calculations and check your units and final answers. In Biology, practise explaining processes in your own words.
3. Learn From Your Mistakes
When you answer a question incorrectly, identify the concept you misunderstood. Review that concept and attempt a similar question until you can solve it correctly.
4. Prepare for Examinations Topic by Topic
Organise your revision around the examination syllabus. Study one topic at a time, practise relevant questions and revisit areas that you find difficult.
